my muse

i was thinking of just the appropriate title to give my blog that will express what i really feel about life generally, how i feel when i log in and start typing, or when i pick my pen and a note and start writing down my thoughts as they flow, and those moments, which are not rare, when i just enjoy solitude and think of all i would love to do. then i stumbled upon the word ''muse" and gladly employed it. i've used ''muse"in one of my poems and a lot in my diary. i've always understood it partly as thought- as in musing, and partly as a source of inspiration - as in a designer's muse. i'm not yet a designer but i already have my muse. and today i got another more historical meaning of this sleek word. tada! the Greek nation is replete with different myths and legends of gods and goddesses and muse happens to be one among them. i enjoy myths and the Grecian rendition but as a christian, i'm wondering if it's right to enjoy all of those beliefs that characterized pagan stories. however, i take solace in the fact that it's the stories that i enjoy not the practices. i love stories more because it reflects history and history happens to be one of the subjects i have a soft spot for, that is, if i work hard to remember the dates. i'm begining to think my own muse is in poetry but it doesn't come from them greek deities, it's a gift from God.
